KARACHI: An accountability court on Monday granted NAB an extension in Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durranis physical remand till March 21.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials presented Durrani in the court and requested the judge to remand the accused in their custody for 15 more days as his custody was required for further interrogation.

NAB also informed the court that they have found out the details of Durranis assets worth Rs27 million.

However, Durrani complained about NABs treatment of him, saying from day one, he was not allowed to sleep.

Earlier, on February 3rd the NAB team accompanied by a magistrate conducted a raid at a private banks locker which was supposed to be owned by Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani.

On February 20, Agha Siraj Durrani was arrested from Islamabad on the charges of assets beyond known source of income.
