Karachi: Temperature is likely to hit 40 degree Celsius in Karachi today (Monday) for the third consecutive day, the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) informed.

According to Director PMD Shahid Abbas, heat is expected to rise in Karachi to 38 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celsius.

The change of direction of the sea waves is the reason behind expected rise in temperature, he said.

Local administration has also advised the residents to take precautionary measure while going out.

Karachi faced three major breakdowns of electric supply in the past week.
