ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced to increase electricity tariffson Monday.

According to an official notification, the electricity prices will be increased Rs0.56 per unit.

The prices are increased under the fuel adjustment for December 2018, the notification reads.

The hike in electricity price will put an additional burden of Rs4 billion on domestic and commercial users.

However, the decision will not be applicable to the Karachi Electric consumers and agricultural users.
