KARACHI: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) called off its strike on Wednesday after successful negotiations with the provincial government.

Addressing a press conference in Sindh Assembly building, Murtaza Wahab said that the talks between the government and protesting Young doctors remained successful.

The OPDs will be opened in a while as junior doctors have called-off their strike, said Murtaza Wahab while addressing a press conference in Sindh Assembly building, along with the YDA.

He further said that doctors of Sindh will be given allowances as doctors of Punjab are getting.

On January 28, doctors across the province went on a strike to protest for a raise in their salaries and allowances. On Tuesday, reports emerged that the Sindh government and the protesting doctors had reached an agreement, allowing a raise of Rs25,000 to Rs75,000.
