Mehak Anwar – a teenage table-tennis player from Karachi suffering from cancer has said in her video message that she hasn’t received any medical assistance for her cancer treatment from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government and PM Imran Khan.
Mehak, in her video message has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to fulfill his promise so she could recover soon.

In a video also shared by senior sports journalist Abdul Ghaffar on twitter the athlete can be seen stating that the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of her condition on August 21 and promised complete medical assistance. “Some official from the government came to my home and just gave verbal support,” she said, adding that since then no one has come for her help.
It is pertinent to mention here that on August 21, Imran Khan directed authorities concerned to take necessary action for the treatment of Mehak Anwar.
Following PM’s notice Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry also took to Twitter to announce Khan’s directives.
Mehak has been suffering from cancer for the past several months and undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Karachi. She has represented the Sindh province in several tournaments.
