WEB DESK: Youm-e-Kashmir was observed across the country in a befitting manner on Tuesday.

In this connection, Kashmiris and Pakistanis around the world are organising rallies, public meetings and seminars to mark the day and protest illegal occupation and war crimes of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The federal government has announced a public holiday on the day.

According to the notification, one-minute silence was observed at 10:00 am across the country to pay tribute to the martyrs of occupied Kashmir.

Its pertinent to mention here that Indian army had occupied Jammu & Kashmir on this day in 1948.

Every year on this day Pakistan reiterates its unflinching solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir and pays homage to the heroes and martyrs of this epic struggle for liberation that has become a living symbol of the indomitable human spirit.
