WEB DESK: Renowned philanthropist and humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi is being remembered on his third death anniversary today (Monday).

Abdul Sattar Edhi started an ambulance service from Karachi in 1951.

He later established the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network along with homeless shelters, animal shelters and orphanages across the country.

The renowned philanthropist was honoured with several national and international awards for his services to the field of philanthropy.

Edhi died on July 8, 2107, following a prolonged illness.
