ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Thursday granted a seven-day transitional remand to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) women-wing president and sister of the former president Asif Ali Zardari.

Accountability Courts Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the case on a plea filed by the sister of the former president Faryal Talpur in which she pleaded the court to grant a transitional remand for attending a session of the Sindh Assembly.

As the hearing went underway, the NAB authorities told the court that the PPP women-wing president Faryal Talpur is intended to attend the session of the Sindh Assembly so she should be granted a transitional remand.

The court on the request of the anti-graft body granted a seven-day remand to the PPP leader and she will be transported to Karachi today.
