ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea filed by former President Asif Ali Zardari to shift him to Karachi on medical grounds.
As per details, Faryal Talpur was produced before Accountability Courts Judge Azam Khan in a case related to Fake Bank Accounts while Asif Zardari was not produced before the court due to ailment.
As the hearing went underway Zardaris counsel Advocate Latif Khosa filed a plea on behalf of his client seeking to shift him to Karachi on medical grounds.
The NAB prosecutor by opposing the plea said that Asif Zardari is being treated at PIMS and is enjoying all the possible facilities. The NABs prosecutor also told the court that the hospital is declared a sub-jail and if he needs any more facilities they can request the government and pleaded the court to reject the plea.
The court by hearing the arguments dismissed the former Presidents plea to shift him to Karachi on medical grounds.
Earlier today, the court also extended the judicial remand of the former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur till November 26.
