ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Friday said that the country’s president has violated the constitution in appointing members of the election commission and the matter of invoking article-149 was raised to divert our attention from the core issues.

Addressing to National Assembly session, he said, “The federation is a bouquet and people should identify that who is trying to destroy it.”

“Such actions will lead to destruction while people of Sindh will come out on roads and Chief Justice should take sou-moto on this issue,” he added.

“We do not want to destroy parliament and our leader has made it clear that PPP will not be a part of any such movement that can destruct parliamentary system,” he further added.

“Liaquat Ali Khan hoisted the flag of Pakistan on Sindh Assembly and we are proud that we played an important role in the formation of the country,” insisted Khursheed.

“Every community lives in Karachi including Sindhis, Punjabis, Pashtuns and Muhajirs,” he concluded.
