KARACHI: Former Chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) popularly known as Madar-e-Jamhoriyat Begum Nusrat Bhutto is being remembered on her eighth death anniversary today (Wednesday).

PPP on this occasion organized Quran Khawani to commemorate the eighth death anniversary of Begum Nusrat Bhutto.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto on this occasion said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto played the role of a catalyst for diverting the grief of Quaid-e-Awam’s execution into a political movement and commenced her peaceful political struggle against a dictatorial regime at that time.

Paying tribute to her, PPP Chairman said that her services for democracy and the country are exemplary.
