KARACHI: In a bizarre development it has been revealed that despite the attempts of the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to impose an emergency in the education sector in the Sindh province were foiled by the bureaucracy in the province, Sindh Post reported on Sunday.
According to sources, at least eight of the government universities are operating without a permanent vice-chancellor and several universities are operating without director finance and other key posts.
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheikh Ayaz University, Nusrat Bhutto University and several other varsities of the Sindh are operating under ad-hoc Vice Chancellors.
On the other hands, it has also been revealed that the renowned University of the province named IBA-Sukkur is currently operating without any syndicate and the government has allotted another 100-acre of land to the university without any such need.
Earlier, senior journalist Shoukat Zardari has also revealed a planned database breach was found in the education department and the bureaucracy is putting the matter under the carpet by accusing one of the department’s staffer.
