RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday said that we are going through difficult economic situation due to fiscal mismanagement and all of us need to play their part for the betterment of the country.

According to Inter-Services Public Service Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) attended a seminar on National Economy in National Defence University (NDU). The seminar was also attended by Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, Financial Adviser Hafeez Sheikh and other economic experts.

Addressing to the seminar COAS Bajwa said, It is necessary to debate on matters related to the national interest.

We all have to play our role in improving the countrys situation and it is our responsibility as a Pakistani to back the difficult decisions of the federal government, he added.

Difficult decisions are a necessity of the time and without achieving the economic stability we cannot become a sovereign country, he further added.

By urging the nation to stand united in these hard times he said, We all have to become a nation is such difficult times.

Pakistans Armed Force too contributed in such hard times as they did ever before and decided to refuse the proposed increase in defence budget, he concluded.
