RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday inaugurated the new blocks of Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the construction of the extension project that commenced in 2013 has been completed and the CMH has now been extended to 1000-bed hospital with a capacity of more than 1,100 beds.

With this extension and high-tech equipment the CMH can now treat up to 5,000 patients on a daily basis, said the ISPR. The CMH is constructed to cater to the medical needs of military and civilian patients.

It is pertinent to mention here that now CMH has become one of the state-of-art hospitals which shall act as a base Hospital not only for army but for Air Force and Navy as well, the ISPR added.
