RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday chaired an emergency Corps Commander Conference as tensions with India are on a rise after New Delhi scrapped 370th amendment of its constitution which has revoked special status granted to Kashmir.

Director-General of Military’s media wing Major General Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter and informed that Army Chief endorsed governments action of rejecting Indias act of scrapping 370th amendment.

DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wrote on his timeline; “Forum fully supported Government’s rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir.”

“Pakistan never recognized the sham Indian efforts to legalize its occupation of Jammu & Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago efforts which have now been revoked by India itself,” he added.

In another tweet, he said, “Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end.”

“We are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfill our obligations in this regard,” COAS affirmed.
