ISLAMABAD: The President of the United States (POTUS) Donald Trump on Friday reiterated his offer to mediate between Pakistan and India on the Kashmir dispute.
Talking to media in Ohio, Donald Trump said that it is up to Pakistan and India to decide on negotiation and he is ready to mediate between the two nations.
The US president said that the issue of Kashmir had been the basis of the conflict between the two states since a long time.
He said that the premiers of both countries are fantastic people.
However, India has rejected the offer of the US President Donald Trump to mediate on Kashmir dispute.
Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar during a meeting with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the sidelines of an Asian security forum in Bangkok said that New Delhi does not want someone to mediate in the Kashmir dispute, however, it will consider a direct negotiation with Islamabad on Kashmir issue.
