ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Monday extended the physical remand of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) women wing president Faryal Talpur till July 8.

She was produced before Accountability Court upon the completion of previously granted nine-day remand of the accused.

The court after a short hearing granted 14-days remand of the detained PPP leader.

Earlier on June 15, the PPP leader Faryal Talpur was handed over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a nine-day physical remand in a case related to fake bank accounts case.

The PPP leader was produced before the court amid tight security. As the hearing went underway, the accountability court had granted physical remand of the PPP leader till June 24.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PPP women wing president and the sister of the former president Asif Ali Zardari was put in a house arrest on June 14. She is being probed by the NAB for her alleged involvement in fake bank accounts and mega money laundering scam.
