ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi on Sunday said that the authority will send notices to more than 100,000 non-filers who own a house bigger than 500 yards or an above 1000cc vehicle, Radio Pakistan reported.

Talking to media in Islamabad, FBR chairman said that the non-filers will be brought to the tax net and the date for filing returns has been extended by two months so that maximum people could avail the opportunity.

Earlier on Thursday, the FBR refuted rumours circulating on social media pertaining to imposing a heavy withholding tax on motorcycles or rickshaws.
