ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court on Tuesday granted physical remand of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairperson and the former president Asif Ali Zardari to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) till July 15.
As the hearing went underway the NAB has asked for granting a physical remand of the former president in cases pertaining to Park Lane and mega money laundering.
The court directed the NAB to reproduce the former president Asif Ali Zardari before it on July 15.
A day earlier, the former president Asif Ali Zardari was arrested by the NAB in another reference pertaining to the Park Lane Company following his previous arrest in fake bank accounts case.
According to sources within anti-graft watchdog, the detained former president has been arrested in another reference by the NAB Rawalpindi.
The former president is accused of buying 2,460 canals of land in Islamabad.
The lands actual worth is Rs2 billion while it was bought by the former president for an amount of Rs620 million.
It is pertinent to mention here that the former presidents son and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also nominated in the said reference.
