RAWALPINDI: Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday shifted to PIMS hospital Islamabad from Adiala jail.

As per details, he was shifted to the hospital after the recommendation of a team of doctors which inspected him on the directives of the Interior Ministry.

Tight security measures were taken in this regard and the former president will be provided VIP security at the hospital.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Interior Ministry ordered a team of senior doctors to inspect him at the jail which after reviewing his health recommended to shift him to the hospital on an immediate basis.
