KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh Kaleem Imam on Monday directed to take back security from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmakers.

According to sources within the police department, IGP Sindh Kaleem Imam has directed to take back the security from PPP legislators. Those MNAs and MPAs who will no longer enjoy security include MPA Shehla Raza, provincial local government minister Saeed Ghani, MNA Agha Rafiullah and others.

The security was given to the PPP lawmakers on the behest of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and the police mobiles which were assigned to the duties of the legislators were also summoned back to the police headquarters in this regard.

The security was assigned to the PPP MNAs and MPAs amid the security threats.
