ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court(IHC) on Thursday dismissed a plea seeking to drop Ghazi Abdul Rasheed Murder Charges against the former dictator General (retd) Parvez Musharraf.

Chief Justice IHC Justice Athar Minallah Khan heard on the plea of the former president Musharaf seeking to dismiss murder case against him and announced his verdict after hearing the arguments.

As the hearing went underway, the court in its remarks said that an FIR was filed in 2013 in said case, by adding that whats the progress of the case? To which, the public prosecutor said that a challan was submitted in the court back in 2014.

After hearing the arguments, the court asked why the trial hasnt been completed until now? At which, the prosecutor responded that he is unaware of that.

However, the court after hearing the arguments by the prosecutor dismissed the plea of the former dictator Musharraf of dropping murder charges against him.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ghazi Rasheed was killed in Islamabads Lal Masjid following a military operation in 2007.
