LAHORE: Indias Indus water commissioner on Tuesday shared details of released water into Pakistani rivers with his counterpart.

According to data received by Pakistan at 7 pm on Monday, India has released as much as 24,000 cusecs of water into the Sutlej River.

The sources have informed that the flow of water released in the Harike and Ferozpur Barrage is 150,000 cusecs.

It is pertinent to mention here that according to Indus Water Treaty India is bound to inform the authorities before releasing water into Pakistani rivers.

Earlier, it was revealed that the Indian authorities released a flow of water in Pakistani rivers which has created a chance of upper-level floods in the country.
