KARACHI: Adviser to the Sindh chief minister on information and law Murtaza Wahab said on Saturday that Irshad Ranjhani was shot in his head in broad daylight, admitting that street crimes had increased in the city.

Criticising police performance, Wahab said that five murders were committed in the Sindh when a two-day police conference was being held.

It is not the job of the police to hold conferences but policing is their prime task, the CM adviser said.

It seems that some police officials are engaged in making policies, Wahab added.

He made it clear that making legislation is the responsibility of parliamentarians and policing is the prime task of the police force.

He said that the law and order situation had worsened as street crimes had increased.

We want to dispense justice to masses through law, the adviser said.
