KARACHI: The bogies of Karachi-bound Jinnah Express caught fire near Malir as passengers remained unhurt here on Saturday.

According to Station Master of Bin Qasim, The firefighters came late to start the rescue operation as the passengers remained unhurt after bogies of Karachi-bound Jinnah Express caught fire at Bin Qasim Railway Station.

However, the fire brought under control after an hour-long rescue operation as all the passengers were successfully evacuated by the railway officials, added Station Master.

The fire was a result of a short circuit in the power van of the train, he concluded.
