ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau on (NAB) Wednesday approved to file a reference against Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and approved to initiate 12 more inquiries.
According to sources, a meeting of the anti-graft watchdogs executive board was chaired by Chairman NAB Justice (R), Javed Iqbal.
The NAB chairman reviewed several ongoing graft cases and approved to initiate 12 more inquiries against several key politicians and government officials including former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Akram Khan Durrani, former provincial minister Sher Azam, former MPA Sindh Assembly Ghulam Nizamani, Saeed Nizamani and others, sources added.
The anti-graft bodys chairman also observed that the Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani is involved in massive corruption and caused a loss of Rs 600 million to the national exchequer, sources further added.
