ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday reduced electricity tariff by Rs. 0.040 per unit in the tariff.

A notification has been issued in this regard.

The change will not affect the K-Electric users.

The prices are decreased under the fuel adjustment for the month of March, the notification reads.

The decreases in electricity tariffs will give a relief of Rs 280 million to the users.

Earlier, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has forwarded a summary of increase the electricity tariffs under the monthly fuel adjustment. The NEPRA however, rejected the request and reduced the process by Rs0.040 per unit.
