ISLAMABAD: After the motion tabled against the Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was failed opposition leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday presided a meeting of the opposition leaders in which it was decided the parties will take the strict disciplinary action against those who voted in favour of the former.
Talking to media in a joint press conference, Shahbaz Sharif said, Those who betrayed our trust will have to face severe disciplinary action.
Those who have betrayed us will be identified and an All-Parties Conference (APC) has been called on Saturday in which we will discuss on other options, he added.
We will continue to speak on this horse-trading in every Senate Session, he further added.
After selected government, we now have a Selected Senate and will go to the bottom of this matter and expose those 14 members and those who have voted against their conscience will have to face severe disciplinary action, he concluded.
On the other PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto while talking to media said, Chairman Senate should resign on moral grounds as 50 members of the house has voted against him.
The selected government has conducted an attack on the Senate and imposed a selected Chairman Senate on us, he added.
Those who have voted against their conscience will have to pay its price, he further added.
All of my party Senators have tendered their resignations and the matter will thoroughly be probed, he concluded.
