ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday announced to free the captured Indian pilot as peace gesture.

Speaking to the joint session of the parliament, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan will release captured Indian pilot Abhinandan, who was arrested after his plane was shot down by Pakistan Air Force.

Imran hoped that the international community would play its part to ensure that tensions do not escalate anymore.

He said that Pakistans desire to de-escalate tensions should not be taken as weakeness.
