WASHINGTON: Pakistan claimed another diplomatic victory on international levels as for the first time in the United States of America (USA) history the Kashmir dispute will be discussed in the American Congress.
Indias move of annexing occupied valley of Kashmir has gone wrong with the International community as the matter will be raised in the US Congress following a debate onto the matter in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) earlier this month.
The US congress will discuss human rights violations in the occupied Kashmir and Indias move to revoke special status granted to the internationally acclaimed disputed territory. The session is summoned on the request of Chairman of the Democratic Party Brad Sherman.
Brad Sherman, in a statement, said that he investigated the matter personally from the Kashmiris living in the US and they are anxious about the horrific human right violations in their homeland and safety of their beloved ones living there, by adding that he said that he is keen to investigate the matter further.
On the other hand, the Kashmir dispute will also be discussed in the European Union for the first time in its history. The EUs meeting will also be attended by Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
