WEB DESK: The 19th death anniversary of famous folk singer Pathanay Khan is being observed today (Saturday).

Pathanay Khan was born to a poor family in Muzaffargarh’s area Kot Addu in 1926.

He received the presidential award for his contribution to the field of music.

Pathanay Khan throughout his career mostly sung Kafis based upon the writings of Baba Bullay Shah, Khuwaja Ghulam Fareed, Mehar Ali Shah and many other popular Sufi poets.

He died due to prolonged illness in his hometown, Kot Addu on March 9, 2000.
