LAHORE: In an important development Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday sacked its national team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed from its captaincy from all formats of cricket.

As per details, following the defeat to underdogs Sri Lanka in a T-20 series at home the PCB has endorsed the recommendation of the NT coach Misbah-ul-Haq and removed Sarfraz Ahmed from the captaincy.

On the other hand, the PCB has decided to replace him with Babar Azam in T20 format as captain while Azhar Ali will replace him as test captain of NT.

However, the team management is still pondering over a suitable replacement in the ODI format and will announce it before the away series against Netherlands next year.
