ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday extended his greetings to the nation and the Muslims all over the world on the august occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

In a statement, President Dr Arif Alvi urged the nation to adopt fraternity and compassion in their ranks and work for the progress and prosperity of the country by rising above personal, regional and sectarian biases.

He said that the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr carries the essence of Islamic values and traditions and also symbolizes the religious essence.

It is pertinent to mention here that Muslims in Pakistan and across the world are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr to mark the end of the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.
