KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) filed a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) women wing president Faryal Talpur in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) here on Monday.
As per details, PTIs Haleem Adil Sheikh and Arsalan Taj filed a plea in ECPs Karachi office.
The petitioners pleaded the ECP to disqualify the PPP leader for her alleged involvement in mega money laundering scam and fake bank accounts.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PPP women wing president and the sister of the former president Asif Ali Zardari was put in a house arrest on June 14. She is being probed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for her alleged involvement in fake bank accounts and mega money laundering scam.
