KARACHI: An Accountability Court on Friday rejected the National Accountability Bureaus (NAB) plea for extending the physical remand of Sindh Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and send the accused in jail on judicial remand in the assets beyond the known source of income case.

As per details, Agha Siraj was produced before accountability court in Karachi upon the completion of his judicial remand.

The anti-graft watchdogs prosecutor during the hearing told the court that the Sindh Speaker is not co-operating with the NAB officials so another 15 days physical remand should be given.

After hearing the argument by NABs prosecutor AC judge rejected NABs plea and ordered to send Agha Siraj Durrani to jail on judicial remand.

On February 20, NAB officials arrested Durrani, who was under investigation in three cases pertaining to illegal appointments, accumulating assets beyond means, and embezzlement of funds, from a private hotel in Islamabad.
