ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahid was shifted to a private hospital situated at the Federal Capital for his Hernia surgery on Monday.

According to sources, Shahid Khaqan was shifted to a private hospital at H-8 in Islamabad where he will undergo Hernia surgery and several other tests prior to the operation.

Earlier on November 2, former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was taken to PIMS hospital situated at the federal capital after his health deteriorated where he underwent different medical examinations.

Shahid Khaqan who is under custody at Adiala Jail was taken to the hospital for medical examination after his health deteriorated by the authorities.

Spokesman PIMS Hospital Dr Waseem has informed that Shahid Khaqan underwent a medical examination at the cardiac centre of the hospital.

Dr Waseem has told the press that Khaqan underwent heart, kidney, hernia and other examinations at PIMS and left the hospital after that.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shahid Kahqan Abbasi was taken into custody by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from Thokar Niaz Baig Toll Plaza in an ongoing probe against him in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) contract scam case on July 18.
