KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail and former Managing Director (MD) of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Sheikh Imran-ul-Haqs plea for protective bail in a case pertaining to LNG-Terminal scam.
As the hearing went underway both accused and the team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reached the court.
The court after a short hearing approved the bail for a week against bonds worth Rs500,000 for the former finance minister and former PSO MD.
Talking to media, Miftah Ismail said that there was no need of conducting raids as he received the NAB summons after 3 pm on Thursday.
Whenever I have received a notice, I have appeared before the NAB, said the PML-N leader.
A day earlier the NAB teams were conducting raids on the hideouts of the PML-N leader and the former MD PSO following the arrest of ex-premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
