NEW DELHI: Indian Air Chief on Friday revealed that the crashed Indian Military chopper was hit down down by their own missiles.
According to Indian media, Indian Air Chief Rakesh Kumar Bahadauria admitted that the Mi-17 chopper crash on February 27 was a ‘big mistake’ on part of the force.
Bahadauria told that the inquiry into the matter was completed recently and it was revealed that the Mi-17 chopper was shot down by their own missiles.
He also revealed that the force had ordered a strict action against its two officers to avoid such circumstances in future.
However Indian media reports had suggested that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has declared five of its officials responsible for the incident.
