KARACHI: The Sindh government on Tuesday has taken back the decision to seal private schools built on residential plots just a day after issuing a notification.
Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, who was speaking outside the Sindh Assembly, assured parents that no action will be taken against the private schools situated on residential plots.
I want to assure parents and school owners that taking action against private schools will be our last option, he added.
Private School Association Chairperson Tariq Shah thanked Saeed Ghani and SBCA.
“For now, we dont have any plans to shut down or seal schools.”

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Monday announced to take action against the educational institutions situated in Karachi’s residential areas.
The authority, in a notice, stated that any construction carried out by way of material changes in the use of land/building other than the approved building plan and land development permit in violation of the law will be demolished and/or sealed.
