KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday decided to reshuffle his cabinet following the inclusion of six members in his team a day earlier.

An official notification has been issued in this regard.

As per details, Sindh CM was dissatisfied by the performance of a few of his teammates and decided to reshuffle the provincial cabinet with immediate effect.

According to the notification, Former Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has been replaced by Nasir Shah as the former will now look after the affairs of Provincial Information Ministry.

Sohail Anwar Siyal has been awarded portfolios of Irrigation, Zakat, Usher and Auqaf and Anti-Corruption Establishment.

The education department has been taken away from Syed Sardar Ali Shah as he has been given the charge of Culture and Tourism Department instead.

The notification stated that Abdul Bari Pitafi will retain the Livestock and Fisheries Department as he had to resign from his post for leading the by-election campaign in Ghotki. Meanwhile, Ismail Rahu was appointed as the Minister for Agriculture and Ikramullah Dharejo was assigned the Department of Industries, Commerce and Co-operation.

Furthermore, Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Khuhro has been appointed an advisor to the chief minister on universities, boards and the Works and Services Department.

However, Syed Aijaz Shah Sherazi from Thatta has been appointed an advisor to the Sindh CM for the Social Welfare Department.

On the other hand, Murtaza Wahab has to surrender his portfolio of Information Advisor as he will now be looking after the affairs as the CMs advisor on law, environment, climate change and coastal development. However, Wahab will also serve as the Sindh governments spokesperson.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sardar Shah was in the middle of speculations following his speech about having as much as 100,000 ghost teachers in his department.
