ISLAMABAD: Barrister Farogh Naseem, Federal Law Minister on Thursday said that his statement about imposing article-149 was quoted out of context as the main aim is to improve the situations of the metropolis.

Talking to a private news channel, Barrister Farogh Naseem said, There is no plan to impose Governors rule in Sindh.

The federal government hasnt decided to impose article-149 (4) in Sindh but if it would be decided we will move to SC in case of any retaliation by the provincial government, he added.

A day earlier, Naseem in a statement said that the federal government is pondering to impose article-149 (4) in Sindh and the time has come to impose that article in the province.

He said that he is in favour of imposing article-149 in Karachi and his statement received an angry reaction by the people of Sindh.
