KARACHI: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Pakistan next month, informed Turkish consul-general in Karachi on Tuesday.

Speaking at an event here in the metropolis, Turkish Consul-General Tolga Ucak said the Turkish premier will announce fresh investments in Pakistan during his official visit in March.

Our relations with Pakistan are very strong and the two countries have always moved forward together, added Ucak.

The consul-general stated that Turkey has intentions to invest and trade with Pakistan, including a military cooperation.

Turkish officials were in touch with their Pakistani government in order to be a part of the projects pertaining to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

On the other hand, Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad is also expected to visit Pakistan next month to attend the Pakistan Day celebrations after Prime Minister Imran Khan extended an invitation to him for attending the prestigious ceremony.
