NEW YORK: Dr Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) on Friday said that the UN Security Council discussed the worsening situation in the occupied Kashmir and India’s move of revoking special status granted to the occupied valley.

Talking to media after the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting in New York, she said that all the fifteen permanent and non-permanent member nations attended the session summoned to discuss on Kashmir issue.

Dr Maleeha said that the envoys of the member nations were briefed on the latest developments in the occupied valley and violations of human rights in occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces.

She said that today’s meeting of the UNSC has nullified India’s claims that Kashmir is their internal matter.
