ISLAMABAD: Faisal Vawda, Federal Minister for Water Resources on Thursday hinted that the government might reconsider constructing Kala Bagh Dam project.

Talking to media during a press conference in Islamabad he said, “Previous governments made projects to store water controversial on the directives of the enemies of Pakistan and neglected Kala Bagh Dam project.”

“I have directed to re-inspect the project and will not let this project to be buried,” he added.

“Pakistan needs to work on water storage projects to avoid scarcity in the future and this project should have completed a long while ago but unfortunately few people for the sake of their personal interests made it controversial,” he further added.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led government is fully committed to solving the crisis of the metropolis and making sincere efforts in this regard,” he concluded.
