ORAKZAI: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday vowed to take special measures to uplift the living standard of people in the tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing a public gathering, PM said that development of the merged districts of FATA is a priority of his government.

The Prime Minister also said that the tribal region and its people have been badly affected by terrorism. He also assured to provide full fledge compensation to the internally displaced people.

Imran Khan also announced an interest-free loans scheme for the youth of the tribal districts to help them in starting their own businesses. PM also vowed to uplift tourism within the region.

He also announced a Sehat Health Card scheme for the families of the region which will facilitate them in using health facilities up to Rs 20 thousand.

I have always opposed the idea of sending Army in tribal regions, as I believe that the tribesmen are themselves, unpaid soldiers of the country, said PM Imran.

Pakistan always wanted a peaceful Afghanistan as it will help in developing trade between the two nations, he added.

He also lambasted the previous rulers for looting public money and assured that he will do whatever to bring that looted amount back.

Referring to the reshuffle in the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister said his only objective is the betterment of the country and its people, and for the purpose, he will continue making changes if needed.
