World Health Day 2019 is being observed across the globe today (Sunday) with the theme Universal Health Coverage Every one Everywhere.

The purpose to observe the day is to make the people aware of their right to access to the highest level of health services.

In his message on the day, United Nations Secretary-General Antnio Guterres called for addressing the broader determinants of health, including social, economic and environmental factors.

Over 800 million people (almost 12pc of the worlds population) were cited to spend at least 10pc of their household budgets to pay for health care.
