ISLAMABAD: Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting on Friday said that the government wouldnt have provided five-star facilities to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for Azadi March if it was afraid of the march.

Talking to media after visiting district courts in Islamabad, she said that the government has not created any hurdles in the way of Azadi March, by adding that Firdous Ashiq said that we rather provided them facilitation for the protest.

PMs Special Assistant slammed the opposition parties for taking out a rally against a democratic government.

She also asked the protesting opposition parties to carry out a peaceful march and not to create any difficulties for the residents of the twin cities as per the agreement with the government.

It is the first time that a march has been taken out for safeguarding corruption, she concluded.
