ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said that we will retaliate against any attempt of imposing presidential system within the country.
“If attempts are made to bring the presidential system, we will stop them,” he said while addressing media outside the accountability court.
He cleared that any such attempts will be strongly opposed by his party.
Earlier today, an accountability court adjourned the hearing of the fake bank accounts case against former president Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and others till April 29.
According to details, The PPP co-chairman and his sister appeared before the accountability court amid tight security.
As the hearing went underway, the National Accountability Bureaus (NAB) prosecutor told the court that a reminder was sent to the Sindh government for ensuring the hearing of all suspects. To which, Justice Arshad Malik said that if all the accused will remain absent in the next hearing we will issue a show cause notice to the Sindh government.
Earlier on April 10, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) extended pre-arrest bail of former president Asif Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur until April 29 in fake bank accounts case.
